KnightsVault is an online account for holding, moving and managing money.
It handles ordinary currency, pounds, dollars and euros, alongside cryptocurrency such as bitcoin, in the same place and on the same statement. You sign in and you have a balance. From there you send and receive money, convert between currencies, and, if you run a business through it, invoice customers, take payments at a counter, manage stock and keep your books. One account, one history, one login.
Vaults are the part of that account you use to set money aside. They are quick, they are free, and they work entirely inside money you already hold. This manual covers them end to end, and it assumes no prior knowledge at all.
01 · Getting readyWhat you need to start
| You need | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| An account | Your account manager sets you up and sends an invitation with a code. Register with that link, then sign in at app.kxco.io |
| Verification, approved | Verification in the sidebar walks you through it. It is what opens the account up for use |
| A balance to work with | A vault holds GBP, USD, EUR or ARMR, and it is funded from your balance in that same currency |
| Two-factor authentication | Profile, in the Security card. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app and keep the backup codes somewhere safe |
Fifteen minutes of set-up, once, and the whole account is available to you. If you would like the full walkthrough, Your first hour covers the account from the very beginning.
02 · Getting readyWhere to find Vaults
In the sidebar, open Vaults. It sits under the Wallet heading. Everything in this manual happens on that one screen.
03 · Your vaultWhat a Vault is
A Vault is a labelled pot inside the balance you already have. You name it, you move money into it, and that money is then held apart from the balance you spend from.
Think of it as cash in a labelled envelope inside the same safe. It is still yours, still in the same currency, still in the same account, and still available the moment you want it. What changes is that it now has a name and a purpose, and it stops reading as spendable.
Vaults are instant, free, and unlimited: open one per goal, name them however you like, and close any of them whenever you please.
It is immediate. Money moves in and out in a single tap, with no clearing period and no fee.
It stays yours. The money never leaves your account, so there is no third party involved and nothing to unwind.
It is fully reversible. Withdraw part of it, all of it, or close the vault entirely, and the balance is back in seconds.
04 · Your vaultWhat people use them for
| Goal | How it works in practice |
|---|---|
| Tax set-aside | Move a share of every payment you receive into a vault named for the tax year. When the bill arrives, the money is already there |
| A deposit you are building | Set a target and let the progress bar do the motivating |
| Project float | One vault per project or client, so each one’s cash position is visible at a glance |
| Committed costs | Rent, payroll, a supplier invoice due next month. Park it the day the money lands |
| A fund you keep whole | Money you would rather not dip into by accident, held one deliberate step away |
05 · Your vaultYour first vault, in about two minutes
- In the sidebar, open Vaults.
- Select + New vault.
- Name it after the goal: “Tax Set-Aside”, “Holiday Fund”, “Deposit”.
- Pick the currency you will be funding it from.
- Optionally type a target amount, such as 2000, to get a progress bar.
- Select Create vault.
- Select Add money, type an amount, then Move money in.
Done. The rest of this manual is detail you can come back for.
06 · Your vaultCreating and funding one, in detail
| Field | What to put in it |
|---|---|
| Name | Up to 60 characters. Name the goal rather than the amount, so the vault still makes sense in six months |
| Currency | GBP, USD, EUR or ARMR. A vault holds one currency for its whole life, so choose the one you will be funding it from |
| Target | Optional. Add one and the vault shows a progress bar; leave it blank for a plain running balance |
The vault appears immediately with a zero balance.
To fund it, select Add money, enter an amount in the vault’s currency, and confirm with Move money in. It lands instantly. No code is needed, because the money is simply moving between two places you already own.
Watching a target fill up
Where a target is set, the vault shows a bar and a percentage, for example 45% of £2,000.00. The bar fills as the balance grows and settles at 100% when you reach the goal, and you are welcome to keep adding beyond it.
07 · Your vaultMoving money back out, and closing
- Select Withdraw on the vault.
- Enter an amount. The screen shows what is available.
- Confirm with Withdraw to main.
- If you have two-factor authentication turned on, enter the six-digit code.
The money is spendable again the moment it lands. The code is asked for on the way out and not on the way in, for a simple reason:
Money entering a vault is a low-risk internal move. Money leaving one becomes spendable again, so it is treated as a withdrawal and authenticated accordingly.
Closing a vault
Select the × and confirm. Any balance still in it returns to your main balance automatically, and the refund is written to your transaction history so the trail stays complete. Closing an empty vault simply tidies it away.
Open a fresh vault whenever you want one. There is no limit and no cost.
08 · Your vaultHow it appears in your history
Every movement is recorded as an ordinary transaction, so your history stays complete and auditable.
| What you did | Shows as | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Put money in | VAULT_IN | Moved to “Holiday Fund” |
| Took money out | VAULT_OUT | Withdrew from “Holiday Fund” |
| Closed a vault holding money | VAULT_OUT | Closed vault “Holiday Fund”, refunded |
Each entry carries a reference of the form KXCO-CTX-<date>-<code>, completes immediately, and records the USD equivalent at the moment of the move so your reporting lines up. Vault movements are free.
09 · AlongsideEarning on idle dollars
A vault keeps money whole and instantly available, which is exactly what you want for a tax bill or a deposit.
If you would also like idle dollars working for you, the same screen carries an sfrxUSD option. It puts them to work on a public blockchain through Frax, and the card shows the live rate and total value locked, drawn from public market data.
sfrxUSD sits alongside vaults rather than inside them, and it carries its own risk profile. Read the card and the risk disclosure before you stake.
